POMB 2012

What is POMB?
POMB (Pekan Orientasi Mahasiswa Baru) is an orientation for incoming students or freshmen like me ;)
Of course people know how orientation in our university goes every year. It's quite different from another university's orientation. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
In my opinion our faculty's orientation was exactly like what I thought before. Not over cruel and still educative. Maybe better than others!

A glance about POMB Faculty of Psychology 2012
I would like to share my whole 3 days story but I'm not in a very good state right now so let's put it off first :)

During these 3 days,we were given many tasks to do such as  find our POMB committees' data or make our own attribute to be worn on the second and third day of orientation.
We must arrive at 6 a.m every morning and go home around 5.30 p.m in the evening. Late = squat jump 50x
Plus we had to buy everything that our seniors asked us to bring in the evening--sometimes I couldn't find several things.
We were given different menus for lunch everyday too. Mom had to help me with everything and I'm really thankful for having her by my side. Thanks God for this happened to me,I never regret one moment of the orientation since it brought me to the transition phase from being a student to a freshman, except for making mom woke up early at 4 a.m just to tie my hair into 12 ponytails and accompanied me everywhere to look for things. Dad too,he woke up early just to send me there at 5 a.m :') They are my heroes!

Good things are we were introduced to most seniors and there were always matters from deans or campus organizations. Very educative :D

BITTER yet SWEET

Above those bitterness,I could feel warmth in them.
They might be fierce and strict, but I believe that they did it it for our sake. Orientation in our faculty has manners, seniors didn't simply give us unreasonable tasks and punishments. Thus, all the matters were related to our daily campus-life. For example: we were not allowed to be late because discipline is very important. Our professors are very strict and they don't tolerate lateness.
We were asked to do presentations because it is one of many things we will do in class.
Tasks which kept us awake till 3 a.m in the morning were to show us that we will have the same or even more amount of work to do in the upcoming classes.
We were taught morale lessons, discipline and etiquette.
Etiquette means 3S(senyum,salam,sapa) or smile and greet everyone we know in our faculty, even staffs. Never look down on anyone.

Seniors are actually very kind and they really care about us. Although they shouted at us a lot but it was also because of our own fault.
Lack of sleep really annoyed me. And my feet's condition is still not so well but I managed to stand and run and do squat jumps.
Mentally challenged but I think I was strong enough,I didn't cry at all just because of their gruesome voice. Only once on the closing ceremony day as I felt really relieved for making the committees feel happy and appreciated..And because it was finally over and..the song we sang was quite sad hahhaha.
One thing: this orientation makes me feel closer with my new friends and seniors. All of us were still very shy to sing and dance "gong gale gong" on the first day but not anymore :D
Cool!

Honestly,it's still hard for me to memorize people's  faces and names.
No matter what I must try my best to compel rules and try to be closer with all friends and seniors,be nice and diligent. And upgrade my very poor public speaking skills.
I had never had guts to talk :(

That's all I can tell today, will continue again soon.

The Expendables 2

WELCOME THE CREW!

Finally watched it and no doubt the team acts impressively :)
I feel satisfied for this qualified all-star action movie with class, yes class.
Number one action casts -- add them up and they make a dream team.
Both The Expendables and The Expendables 2 are amazing!

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone),Lee Christmas (Jason Statham),Yin Yang (Jet Li),Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews)--with the newest members,Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard--are reunited when Mr. Church enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his old mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in a nick of time--five tons of weapons- grade plutonium, far more than enough to change the balance of the power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. (picture and review source: theexpendables2film.com)

The entire heroes team up with Booker (Chuck Norris),Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Church (Bruce Willis) to fight over Vilain (Jean Claude Van Damme) who killed Billy the Kid during the mission given by Church earlier-it is to get the blueprint of a plutonium mine. It gets more intense when they knew that Vilain is after five tons of plutonium which can't be handed to wrong hands like him.
Note: Yin Yang appeared only at the first 10 minutes I think. Additional crews: Billy the Kid who was eventually killed and Maggie.

Some people said that The Expendables 2 isn't really good.. I think the main reason is that the mission is very common and the whole story runs too well especially after the death of Billy. The team has a lot of back ups who will show up like angels whenever they're in danger but yeah I still think it's normal since they have many first class crews like Norris,Schwarzenegger and Willis.
Then, with that many fighters, there is only one Vilain? I don't feel scared at all with the threatening Van Damme.
The whole action and explosion made great intense though, just no more betrayal like the first movie.
More comedy lines added, cool special/visual action effects and a flying motorcycle.
Btw, Statham is hot! (as always)
Isn't Lee Christmas the "it" guy there? A blades specialist,a fighter, naturally humorous and a romantic guy.
*Girls shout: Marry me!* *die*

My Melly

Die Diery,
Since few months ago,Melly has been kept on the first floor and not allowed to come upstairs.
Kinda miss her being around...that girl used to sleep in front of my room, welcome me home by sitting with me on the sofa and act like a spoilsport,be the first 'thing' that come for food..she's everywhere.
As I can't see her very often upstairs,I love to free her in the afternoon and just watch her as she fools around chasing bicycles or motorcycles hahaha.
I know how much she misses being on the second or third floor, she used to accompany grandma when nobody was home.
I feel peace when I'm with her.

But..
I'm scared.
She has cancer. Breast cancer.
It has been over a year and I don't know what to do.
I've browsed about it but I'm not brave enough to take her to the vet.
I don't want to hear things that I don't want to hear,I don't want to treat her like a sufferer.
I might have been selfish but the only thing I can do is pray...

My tears rolled down my cheeks when I was sitting with her just now.
Peace is..to touch and talk to her..well,I always treat her as my little baby..for the past 7 years.
I've heard that persons who suffer from cancer feel really painful.
She,with the same expression,is still very active and mischievous. Nobody knows how much pain she has. She can't tell.
Mell, sorry I can't take away the pain or at least ease it.
My heart hurts,too.
 Long live Melly  :*

Melly is chasing a pedicab!

Sun Day

Quick shopping after a hectic day was really refreshing.
And mom was actually the best company <3 p="p">
First of all,we hunted for some outfits for me to be worn on the orientation day. Then..another apparels again and again hahaha.
Sadly,I've gained some weights...disastrous!
There weren't any bags or shoes that caught my eyes yet hmm,but shoes did catch mom's.
Finally we encountered The Body Shop. Today is the last day of the "buy 3 get 1 free"-day plus pretty bottles of perfumes were there asking us to pick them home.
They were Sun Fresh,Sun Kiss and Sun Glow. The limited edition of Dreams Unlimited,Love Etc Unlimited and White Musk.
No need second thought but we just bought 3 of them!
Mom and I do have the same interest in fragrance. Lucky for us because these perfumes are very freshening and just lovely!
OK,it was too much but I couldn't help myself being satisfied with our best-buys today :D
I still prefer Dreams - Sun Fresh
Edition Limitee

BEACH ON

I miss spending days at the beach..doing nothing but figuring things out...
Walking on the sandy shores while holding the slippers..just feel the breeze and listen to the waves.
But..I don't wanna get tanned :p
 Don't all cancers love beaches?

these are LOVES!

D for Diary

Die Diery,

University must be fun!
That's what I'm expecting right now.
I can't stand these mundane activities anymore...I hope I won't take back my words later on haha!
Btw I went to a kind of community last Sunday,it's a community for us who go to the same uni. I met some people whom I might or might not have seen because most of us went to the same school.
I met my seniors too..I must admit that they are kind, they made a great first impression.
Also some new friends -in this case, some means only 3-who are really nice.
I really hope that I could get along with them and get used to this new circle asap :))
I know that it won't be easy to get there, still I have to kill this over-hesitate feeling of mine ._.
Spell the mantra please: I get better and happier each day :)

Then from that meeting,I went to Sun Plaza with Ceha. Just the two of us spending hours talking like mads, moving from one cafe to another. LOL,it was fun though.
I've missed my girls already :(
Family bbq for dinner yay!

I love talking to you.I have never wanted our conversation to end no matter how boring it gets.
